Equipment

  • large skillet
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • small mixing bowl
  • pastry brush

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 large biscuits)
  • 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cut into 8 cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  • Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess grease. Stir in the garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 more minute, then remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.
  • Place one cube of cheddar cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit. Top with a heaping tablespoon of the beef mixture. Pull the dough up around the filling and pinch the seams tightly to completely seal each ball.
  • Arrange the bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • While the bombs bake, stir together the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush the warm bombs generously with the garlic Parmesan butter immediately after baking and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the seams are sealed tightly to prevent the filling from leaking during baking. For extra heat, stir a pinch of red pepper flakes into the beef mixture. Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, burger sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
