Equipment

  • crockpot
  • large skillet
  • wooden spoon
  • cutting board
  • chef knife

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 package Fiesta Ranch powder
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  • Pour the beef broth into the bottom of the crockpot. Add the chopped cabbage and spread it evenly.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the hamburger meat with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are softened. Drain excess grease.
  • Transfer the cooked beef mixture to the crockpot. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, and Fiesta Ranch powder. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours until the cabbage is tender and flavors are fully developed.

Notes

For extra flavor, use fire-roasted diced tomatoes or spicy Fiesta Ranch seasoning. Leftovers store well and taste even better the next day as the flavors continue to develop.
