Crispy Cheese Stuffed Doritos
Crispy Cheese Stuffed Doritos are crunchy Doritos sandwiches filled with sharp cheddar cheese, coated in seasoned flour, egg wash, and crushed Doritos, then fried until deep golden and crisp. Serve them hot with ranch dressing.

Ingredients
- 1 bag (9.75 oz / 275 g) Nacho Cheese Doritos
- 8 oz (225 g) sharp cheddar cheese, cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) squares
- 1/2 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- vegetable oil, for frying
- ranch dressing, for serving
Instructions
- Pulse about 2 cups of Doritos in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Pour the crumbs into a shallow bowl.
- Place a square of cheddar between two whole Doritos chips and press gently so they stay together. Repeat with the remaining cheese and chips.
- Mix the flour, garlic powder, and paprika in one shallow bowl. Whisk the eggs and milk together in a second shallow bowl.
- Dredge a sandwich in the seasoned flour, then dip it in the egg wash, then roll it in the crushed Doritos. Press lightly so the crumbs adhere.
- Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the sandwiches in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until deep golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Let them cool for 1 minute so the cheese does not burn your mouth. Serve immediately with ranch dressing.
Notes
Best served immediately while the crust is still shattering. Cool Ranch Doritos can be used instead of Nacho Cheese Doritos for a tangier flavor. Let the fried sandwiches cool for 1 minute before serving so the melted cheese does not burn your mouth. Always check ingredient labels if you have allergies.
